Windows 7 Beta Download Available

The 2.4GB Windows 7 public beta download is now available from Microsoft’s servers, but as of 1:20PM PST, the 2.5 million product keys Microsoft’s promised are not yet being distributed.

The direct download links to the disk image which you can burn and install for 30 days are here:

What we’re waiting on right now are the 2.5 million product keys Microsoft said they’d start handing out at noon today PST. Till that happens, you can get started on your download now using the links above. The beta (build 7000) will run just fine for 30 days without the key, and some are saying a patch may obviate the need for a key at all. We’ll update this post as we know more.

Partners with a MSDN or TechNet subscription can download Windows 7 Beta now. All other partners can download Windows 7 Beta starting January 9, 2009 at 12:00 P.M. Pacific Time.

    It sounds like you’re creating problems yourself by trying to solve this issue instead of looking at why their is a problem in the first place.
